The Craps Proposition Bets

Proposition bets are craps bets that win or lose depending on the results of the next roll. These also include some single roll bets. These are characterized by a high house edge, in fact, these have the highest house edge compared to the other bets in the game. A lot of players avoid these bets all together since the house edge is really high. Here's a list of these bets.

Crap Two: This bet wins if a two comes up on the next roll. This bet pays thirty to one but has a staggering house edge of 13.89 percent.

Crap Three: This bet wins if a three comes up on the next roll. This bet pays fifteen to one but has a house edge of 11.11 percent.

Seven: This bet wins if a seven turns up on the next roll. This bet pays fifteen to one with a house edge of 16.67 percent.

11: This bet wins if the next roll turns up to be an 11. This bet pays 15 to one with a house edge of 11.11%

Crap 12: This bet wins if the next roll turns up to be a 12. It pays 30 to one with a house edge of 13.89%

Any Craps: This bet wins if the next roll turns up to be two, three, or 12. It pays seven to one with a house edge of 11.11 percent.

Field Bet: This bet wins if the next roll turns out as either a two, three, four, nine, 10, 11, or 12. The bet pays even money for three, four, nine, 10, and 11. For two and 12, a field bet pays two to one. The payout will vary depending on which casino you're in. You can expect the amount of the payout to fluctuate as you visit various casinos on different locations.

Hop Bets: There is no specific place for you to place this bet on the table layout but if you want to make this bet you have to ask the dealers and they'll be happy to arrange it for you on the table. Players who make this bet are predicting and wagering on what the exact numbers are going to be next. If a player bets on two different numbers this bet will pay 15 to one at a huge house of 11.11 percent; a bet on two of the same number (e.g. one and one) pays off at 30 to one but with a staggering house edge of 13.89 percent.

Horn Bet: This is actually making four bets at a single time. A player is betting on two, three, 11, and 12 simultaneously. House edge for this bet is 12.5%.

World Bet: Similar to the horn bet, the difference is that the player bets in increments of five dollars. House edge is at a high 13.33 percent.

You might have encountered some of these bets while dealing with single roll bets. Just remember that these bets do have a higher house edge than the craps bets.
